Hosted by Davao City last April 17-21, 2023, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) Mindanao Games 2023 featured teams from Regions 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13—all vying for the chance to be crowned champions.

With a consistent, top-notch performance across the board for all teams in the various disciplines, the collective efforts of Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) athletes in the basic education category allowed them to garner a total of 112 medals. In an electric atmosphere where grace and power meld together into something so daring, the dance sports team showed off their remarkable skills in the dancesport competition, earning them the championship titles in Modern Standard and Latin categories. Showcasing their skills and finesse to the fullest, the women's futsal team dominated the field as they bagged the championship title.

In a tightly contested game, the football team clinched first runner-up behind Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) of Region 9. With each player complementing and supporting their teammates' efforts, the women's badminton team proved to be unstoppable as they secured the championship title. The men’s team, on the other hand, capped off the competition with a silver medal as they bowed down to Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan of Region 10. By showcasing their tactical prowess, AdDU and San Pedro College (SPC) of Region 11-A stormed through the competition as the champion, with AdDU and Holy Cross of Bunawan (HCB) as the second runner-up in the men’s team event. Meanwhile, their women counterparts ended their campaign as second runner-up in the individual event and first runner-up in the team event.

The table tennis team showed composure as they swept the entire competition, earning double championships in both men's and women’s divisions. No exception was made in the swimming competition, as Atenean swimmers tallied a total of 58 medals, including 30 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze medals for men, and 28 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze medals for women.

The volleyball men and women solidified their spots as the first runner-ups, succumbing to the undefeated Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU) of Region 12 in both divisions. The men's 5x5 basketball team came in as the first runner-up and second runner-up in 3x3, while the women's 5x5 basketball team was hailed as the third runner-up. As the CEAP Mindanao Games 2023 concluded, the Ateneans made a lasting impression on this competition by showing not just their physical prowess but also their unshakable attitude of perseverance and sportsmanship.
