With the celebration of National Science and Technology Week, the Pulsong Atenista Student Government held its first episode of Trivia Fridays for a Cause on September 30, 2022. The quiz bee was conducted to test the critical minds and to showcase the astonishing wits of the Ateneans.
The event was held via Zoom and Kahoot with the theme, “GENESCAPE: Priming Perspectives, Amplifying Advancements.” Led by Ken Lloyd Briones as the host, the event kicked off with representatives from different clusters.
Leading the pack, Montserrat took the first howl as they topped the scoreboards after answering question one speedily. However, Paris, with their strong flight, took the top spot away from Montserrat after they correctly answered six consecutive questions.
With the encouragement of the host and their fellow gladiators, Rome proved that their wits are also admirable by taking down Paris with their nine-answer streak. After three rounds, Paris claimed ownership of the crown again.
The rivalry began as Paris and Salamanca fought for the top spot for four consecutive questions, notwithstanding the thought that a cluster was slowly catching up to them. Pamplona, being the phoenix they always are, stealthily took the crown and arose for the fiery glory.
Despite the challenging journey, Pamplona showed that the fire was still burning as they were hailed the First Hall of Famer after successfully bagging the crown for the first Trivia Fridays. Knowing this victory, King Phoenix celebrated their triumph by giving the representatives' a cash prize, courtesy of their sponsor. Arising from the ashes, Pamplona proved that their fire is something that every cluster should fear.
