AdDU SHS’ Ignite ‘24 Hosts Cheerdance Competition

March 06, 2024–The highly anticipated cheer dance competition, where all eight clusters— Barcelona, Jerusalem, Manresa, Montserrat, Pamplona, Paris, Rome, and Salamanca— showcased their Atenean skills and talents.

Before the commencement of the actual event, the introduction of judges transpired. The competition's judges were Ms. Patricia Gabato, Ms. Roxanne Ortiz, and Mr. John Akiatan.


The competition commenced with the Pamplona Cluster, who distinguished the position of 1st runner-up.


Next up was the Rome cluster, which garnered cheers as they presented veils and white flower bouquets as their props.


Afterwards, the Salamanca Cluster clinched the 2nd runner-up and earned the Best in Cheers and Yells award, due to their spirited performance.


The Paris Cluster, succeeded with numerous awards, including this year's cheer dance champions, illuminated the gymnasium and set it ablaze with their performance, drawing inspiration from Shakira.


After them was the Herd of Stags from the Jerusalem Cluster, earning the best in music award, enchanting the audience with their tuneful performance.


Following them, the Barcelona Cluster enraptured the viewers with their Blackpink-inspired routine, which garnered applause from everyone.


The Manresa cluster, which served as the seventh performer, caught the eyes of the audience with their display of talent.


Lastly, with their 2NE1-inspired theme performance, the Montserrat cluster appeared in vibrant and refined attire, projecting grace on stage.


As the competition concluded with the awarding, the students swiftly transitioned to preparing for the upcoming IGNITE events, infusing the atmosphere with anticipation and excitement.
